Marco Palestra is set to fly to London in order to sign the paperwork and undergo his medical ahead of his transfer from Atalanta to Premier League side Chelsea.
According to reports from Sky, via FCInter1908, Palestra will now travel to England to sign what is expected to be a six-year contract with the Blues.
Chelsea came almost out of nowhere to beat Inter to the signing of the highly rated Italian wing-back, who had a stellar season with Cagliari and was named Serie A defender of the season.

Chelsea beat Inter to Palestra signing
Palestra’s emergence quickly turned the heads of many top clubs, with Inter eyeing the Italian as a gift to Cristian Chivu, after the Romanian coach lifted the Scudetto in his first season in charge of the Nerazzurri.
However, Chelsea offered a lucrative package to the player himself, as well as meeting Atalanta’s demands swiftly.
The Bergamo side have a reputation for long, protracted negotiations – as demonstrated once again with Inter the losing party in their pursuit of Ademola Lookman last summer.
